About Me
As an artist and teacher, for years I have explored many aspects of art, from textiles - which I studied at degree level - to printmaking and fine art. With over 20 years of experience as an art teacher, I have been privileged to work alongside many ‘aspiring young artists’ to share and experience a love for making art, something I consider to be an essential and invaluable tool in our lives.
Always eager to explore new mixed-media approaches myself, I combine the techniques of drawing, print-making and mark-making layered on experimental inked backgrounds to create unique pattern-like images of the natural world. As I observe my natural surroundings, I see opportunities to capture what I see through an 'artistic lens', so as my artwork has developed, circles have become a predominant aspect of it.
Located in Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds, I am fortunate to be surrounded by stunning scenery and wildlife. Colour is a significant aspect of my work, and I love working with different colour palettes to create vibrant and striking combinations.
